Family Reunion Rentals in Indian Rocks Beach: How to Plan a Big Group Stay
Getting everyone in one place is the hard part. Indian Rocks Beach makes the rest easy: a quiet Gulf beach, a small-town pace, and golf carts that let grandparents and teenagers get around on their own schedules. Whether you’re planning a family reunion, a milestone birthday or a long weekend with friends, here’s how to pick the right home and plan the trip.
Step 1: Choose your setup
There are two ways to host a big group: one big house where everyone is together, or side-by-side units where each family has its own kitchen and a door to close. Stay Coastal IRB has both.
Coastal Manor: one big house for 10
Coastal Manor is our luxury home on the Intracoastal Waterway, with 5 bedrooms, 6 full baths and room for 10. Every bedroom has its own en-suite bath, which takes the pressure off the morning rush. The group can gather around the heated pool and spa, the outdoor kitchen and the fireplace, and there’s a deep-water dock, kayaks and a 6-seat golf cart. The beach is about 0.2 mile away.
Best for: two or three related families, or a grandparents’ trip with the grown kids and grandkids, who want to be under one roof.
Hideaway & Getaway Duplex: two units for 16
Book Coastal Hideaway and Coastal Getaway together and you get 6 bedrooms, 5 baths and room for 16, one block from the beach. Hideaway has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, and Coastal Getaway has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and a bunk room the kids will claim. Each unit has its own kitchen.
When you book both, the hot tub, the game area and the yard are all yours: ping pong, a pool table, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard and cornhole. It comes with two golf carts, and each unit has 2 off-street parking spaces.
Best for: two families who want their own space and one shared place to hang out at night.
Coastal Boutique, whole building: four condos for 24
For the biggest groups, rent the whole Coastal Boutique building: four renovated two-bedroom condos with 8 bedrooms, 4 baths and room for 24, about 0.1 mile from the beach. Each condo has a full kitchen, an in-unit washer and dryer, and its own beach chairs, towels, cooler and collapsible beach cart. The shared backyard has tropical landscaping, seating and a grill for group dinners. Two of the units are on the ground floor with no-step entries, which helps for grandparents or anyone who’d rather skip the stairs.
Best for: four households, or a big reunion where everyone wants their own kitchen and laundry.

Step 2: Lock in your dates early
Big homes fill first, especially around holidays. A few things to know:
- Minimum stay: 3 nights on most dates, and 4 nights on some peak and holiday dates. The booking widget shows the exact minimum for your dates.
- Book ahead: you can book up to about a year in advance.
- Payment and cancellation: the full total is paid at checkout. Cancel more than 30 days before arrival for a full refund. Cancellations within 30 days aren’t refunded, so lock in the headcount before that window.
- Check-in is after 4 PM and checkout is before 10 AM.
Book the house first, then send the save-the-date.
Step 3: Sort out getting around
Every Stay Coastal stay includes a golf cart, and the duplex comes with two. For a big group, rent an extra cart or two: 4-seat carts are $85 a day and 6-seat carts are $125 a day. Keep in mind that golf cart drivers in Indian Rocks Beach must be 18 or older, and carts can only cross Gulf Boulevard at the marked crossings. Our golf cart guide covers the rules.
Flying in? St. Pete–Clearwater International (PIE) is about 30 minutes away, and Tampa International (TPA) is about 50 minutes, depending on traffic.
Step 4: Plan meals the easy way
- Assign one dinner per family. At Manor, use the outdoor kitchen. At Boutique, gather around the shared grill in the backyard.
- Plan one night out together. Guppy’s On the Beach, The Original Crabby Bill’s and PJ’s Oyster Bar are guest favorites. Call ahead for a big table.
- Breakfast runs: coffee at The Grove and crepes at Cafe de Paris.
Step 5: A sample 4-day reunion plan
- Day 1: Arrive after 4 PM, unpack, and walk or cart to the beach for sunset.
- Day 2: Beach morning, pool or hot tub afternoon, and the group dinner out.
- Day 3: Kids to Splash Harbour Water Park or Kolb Park’s playgrounds, grown-ups kayaking. Then a game-room tournament at the duplex, or a cookout in the Boutique yard.
- Day 4: One last beach walk, ice cream on 14th Avenue, and the group photo.

Step 6: Know the house rules
Our homes are for registered guests, so no parties or events, and occupancy limits are enforced: 10 at Manor, 16 at the duplex and 24 for the whole Boutique building. Please keep noise neighbor-friendly, especially outdoors at night. Bringing pets? Manor and the duplex allow up to 2, and the whole Boutique building allows up to 4, at $100 per pet, per stay. Full details are on our Policies & Fees page.
